Labour won 14 seats in the local Bedford Borough Council elections on 4 May 2023 to become the largest party on the council.
The fourteen Labour Councillors are:
Cauldwell - Fouzia Zamir Atiq, Abu Sultan, Harish Thapar.
Harpur - Colleen Atkins and Zara Layne.
Kempston Central & East - Mohammed Nawaz and Caroline White.
Kempston North - Sue Oliver
Kempston South - Carl Meader
Kempston West - James Valentine
Kingsbrook - Ralley Rahman
Queen's Park - Nesreen Akhtar, Mahboob Din and Mohammed Masud.
