KEMPSTON WEST

Cllr James Valentine was elected as the Labour councillor for Kempston West in the Borough election on 2 May 2019.

He has a reputation for getting things done and works hard all year round to get the best for Kempston.

Elected to represent Kempston West in May 2019, James was previously Mayor of Kempston Town Council. An experienced Borough Councillor, he served in Kempston Central & East Ward from 2011 to 2014.

 

He holds the portfolio for Education and Children’s Services on the Borough Council which involves all aspects of children, young people and families’ safety and welfare including, for example, school standards, special educational needs, looked after children and early help/family support services.

 

He is a Governor of Kempston Rural Primary School and was previously Chair of Governors at Kempston Challenger Academy (formerly Hastingsbury Business & Enterprise College).

 

James takes part in the Saturday morning Town/Borough Councillors surgery rota at Sainsbury’s and attends Kempston Town Council’s Community Safety Forum. He frequently attends Police priority setting meetings and takes part in local Police operations.

 

James has worked tirelessly for the benefit of all Kempston residents and has a record of achievement and getting things done. He is dedicated to keeping Kempston West safe and a great place to live.
